Jack is 2!!

This past weekend the Troester household was quite crazy, but so fun:) Shelli, John, Tommy and Billy stayed with us as well as my parents. It was fun to have a full house of people (maybe a little crazy at times), but I wouldn't have it any other way. We spent a lot of time outside on our new back patio....drinking wine (water for me) and catching up. Jack LOVED having his "K-K" and "Papa Tom" in town and couldn't get enough of them. He was still asking where they were today when he woke up;)

Friday night we enjoyed a fabulous dinner out at The Kitchen in downtown Denver. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting....great atmosphere and unique food/drinks.

Saturday was Jack's birthday party! We invited a few of our friends and their kids over for pizza, cake and fun. It was the perfect day for Jack and he LOVED the cake, of course. It may have been a little aggressive on my part to host a party with 13 adults and 10 kids one week after we moved in...but hey, why not?! My mom is party planner extraordinaire, so I had a lot of help!

I've included some pics from the weekend. Enjoy!!

Moving Weekend.....ahh!!!

I'm just going to start out by saying this....I'm never moving again! I'm going to need to print this post off and save it somewhere so in five years when I'm ready to build another house, I will remember how horrible moving is!

We officially closed on our new house on 49th Drive last Friday and decided to move that same day. Twelve hours later, we shut the door behind our last mover and managed to sigh a big relief that we were finally in! Then we realized that we had no clue where anything was and 1.5 million boxes to sort through....

I have to say that this move would not have been possible AT ALL without Bryan's parents. They not only entertained Jack the entire time, but also managed to unpack the entire kitchen, hang my new light fixtures in the kitchen and help put together countless pieces of furniture. It was a sad day when "Mimi" and "Papa Merv" said goodbye. We are excited for their next visit when we can relax and enjoy the new house.

My entire family is coming this weekend to visit and celebrate Jack's 2nd birthday. I plan to post more photos of the inside of the house and Jack's birthday next week.

Below is an outside photo of the new house and a couple of photos of Jack's adventures at the Children's Museum.

Hope you are all having a good week!

xoxo
